Supported employment

Where possible, service users from the Challenge Protective Training Workshops are placed at participating factories or local businesses. While these service users work within the open labour market, they still receive support and coaching from Durban and Coastal Mental Health.

The ultimate aim of this initiative is for service users to secure permanent employment with all the relevant employee benefits such as pension, unemployment insurance, sick leave and annual leave.
